As bass legend, Louis Johnson’s only daughter, the talented singer/songwriter/rapper and producer is an inevitable success waiting to explode onto the gospel scene. Quincy Jones’ Grammy-award winning 70’s group, ‘The Brothers Johnson’, not only gave birth to a new sound of funk, but also gave birth to an artist we would all soon know. Not only influenced by her father, Keiko is also following in the like-footsteps of her mother, singer/songwriter, Valerie Johnson-Riffe who co-wrote with the band and later formed Dove-nominated contemporary Christian group ‘Passage’ with husband Louis. Though Keiko was writing and performing since the early age of 10, she still craved to know more about the depth and the production of music. Determined to do more than just sing and write, she began to deeply immerse herself in music production, also picking up guitar and piano. Now producing most of the music on her debut album, ‘You & Me’, Keiko is no doubt one of the most original and truly talented artists to hit the market.
